Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Bright & Beyond Cleaning collects through this website, why we collect it, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, contact us and we will explain it.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Bright & Beyond Cleaning Services ("Bright & Beyond Cleaning", "we", "us"), a residential and commercial cleaning business serving communities throughout Massachusetts.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the estimate form on this site, we receive what you typed into it: your first and last name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, your property type, your preferred date, and anything you write in the message field. If you call, text, email or message us instead, we receive whatever you choose to share in that conversation.
Information collected automatically. Our web host records standard server logs for every visit: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build a profile of you.
What we do not collect. We do not ask for, and have no use for, your Social Security number, driver's license number, bank account or payment card details. Please do not send these through the form. This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How we use your information
We use what you send us to:
- prepare and send you a cleaning estimate;
- contact you about your request, schedule a visit, and answer your questions;
- provide the service if you decide to hire us, and keep records of the work;
- comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade or otherwise make it available to anyone for their own marketing.
4. Calls, texts and email
When you give us your phone number through the estimate form and check the consent box, you are telling us we may call and text you about your request. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Consent to be contacted is not a condition of hiring us. You can always reach us by phone or email instead.
You can stop this at any time: reply STOP to any text, tell us on a call, or email us and ask to be removed. We will stop contacting you about marketing, though we may still need to reach you about a job you have already booked.
5. Reviews you submit
This website has a form that lets you publish a review of our work. If you use it, we receive the star rating you chose, the name you typed, the state and city you selected, the text of your review, and up to four photographs if you attach them.
Everything in a review is meant to be published. The form will not submit until you tick the box confirming that we may publish your first name, your city and the photographs you attached on this website. That tick is your permission; without it nothing is sent.
Reviews do not appear the moment you send them. Each one is read by us first and only then published, which is how we keep spam and abuse off the page. We may decline to publish a review, and we may remove one later, without being obliged to explain why.
Photographs. Any image you attach is converted and resized on our server, and the original file is not kept. That conversion also removes the metadata most phones embed in a photo, including the GPS coordinates of where it was taken. Please still do not attach photographs showing other people, documents, keys, alarm panels, or anything else you would not want on a public web page.
Changing your mind. Write to us at brightbeyondcservices@gmail.com and we will take your review and its photographs down. You do not need to give a reason.
We also keep the IP address a review was sent from for a short period, purely to stop the same source flooding the form.
6. Who else can see your information
Your information is handled by us and by the service providers that make this website and our email work. Each one only sees what it needs to do its job:
- Our web host stores the site files and processes form submissions on its servers.
- Google (Gmail) receives and stores the email containing your form submission, because that is the inbox we use.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it: a court order, a subpoena, or a legal obligation we cannot refuse.
7. How long we keep it
Estimate requests that do not become jobs are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up and understand demand, then deleted. Records relating to work we actually performed are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See the next section.
8. Your choices
Write to brightbeyondcservices@gmail.com and you can ask us to:
- tell you what information about you we hold;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information, where we are not legally required to keep it;
- stop contacting you.
We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under your state or national privacy law; tell us which law you are invoking and we will honour it.
9. How we protect it
This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Access to the inbox that receives form submissions is limited to the people who need it and is protected by a password and two-step verification. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. What we do is avoid keeping information we do not need, which is the most effective protection there is.
10. Children
This website is intended for adults arranging cleaning services. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other sites
This site may link to services we do not control. Once you follow such a link, that company's own privacy policy governs what it collects. We are not responsible for their practices.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the home page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
